The Best Asphalt Release Agent For your Boots!

Dragging around a job site with with asphalt stuck to your boot can be the frustrating, but most importantly, it’s inefficient. But when you use some asphalt release agent to prevent build-up, it can eat away or damage your boot soles.

So, that’s why we let PavePro test the Asphalt Pro, to guarantee rigidity and strength when using Pavepro on the blue boot. Here is what they discovered about the Asphalt Pro-and why PavePro is the ultimate release agent for your equipement (and boots).

Testing the Asphalt Pro

In PavePro’s test, they cut up the soles of the Asphalt Pro and immersed them in both PavePro Green and Diesel fuel for 24 hours and one week.

The goal was to see what effect both release agents had on the soles after long-term submersion, and if it would compromise the rigidity of the boot.

These were the results:

While in both instances, the soles gained weigth-which doesn’t compromise the sole’s integrity-both boots had no sign of disintigration whatsoever.

But the biggest difference between the two was the noticible color change from diesel fuel, which didn’t happen when using PavePro Green. It proves once again that PavePro is the superior release agent!

After a full week of submersion, the sole soaked in PavePro showed no discoloration at all, while the diesel-soaked sole did discolor. This proves the reliability and effectiveness of the PavePro once again, aswell

Using Diesel Nowadays

In the USA, diesel (The traditional release agent) is no longer viable, legally or environmentally. The Clean Water Act en Oil Pollution act have federally banned the use of diesel as an release agent for the paving industry. Using diesel can damage asphalt overtime, and has many other side effects.

PavePro is a environmentally safe alternative that complies with all federal regulations. It has all the benefits of diesel fuel, except it cleaner & more effective and prevents build up.

For boots, it’s important that you use the right release agent, but also take good care of your boot. When diesel gets on your boot, it can dry/break down leather, and accelerate breakdown. This decreases the boot longevity. So always, with diesel or any other release agent, take care of your boots, regularly smear them with leather oil and keep debris off the top, for the ultimate longetevity.
