Why Choose the Asphalt Pro?
Imagine walking all day on the hot asphalt; what boot should you choose? Whilst paving, asphalt can get easily reach temperatures of 300°F easily, and with the wrong footwear, your days may feel a lot longer.
So, that’s why it is important to wear the right boots. Our suggestion would be the Asphalt Pro, the Austrian-made asphalt-specific paving boot. But why? Well, let us explain it to you.
There are (at least) 5 points to be made about choosing the Asphalt Pro when working on hot asphalt all day long, which are explained below.

Point 1: Heat-resistant design
The Asphalt Pro has a unique design that keeps the heat out; it contains a polyurethane foam body. This PU acts as a heat-shield, helping reduce heat transfer from hot asphalt into the footbed during long hours on the mat. Our HI-mark (High-insulation)* proves that the foam does its work well.
The blue sole is called the DUO-SOFT ASPHALT sole. This sole is made to withstand the heat. It doesn’t crack, warp, harden or disfigure after standing on hot asphalt time after time, because it’s made from Rubber-PUR.
Point 2: Sealing-Edge System
One of the most common failures on hot asphalt isn’t the leather; it’s the sole-shoe connection. Heat really does a number on glued and stitched boots.
Luckily, the Asphalt Pro solves this problem. A patented Sealing-Edge System prevents sole-splitting in high-heat environments. It uses no glue and no stitches, and yet it stays together.
If you’ve ever bought a boot that “looks fine” up top but fails at the sole after a few weeks, you know why this matters. For boots for asphalt paving, durability at the sole edge is not a bonus feature; it’s the main feature.
Point 3: Flat, treadless sole
Paving is not hiking. Aggressive tread can turn into a magnet for asphalt buildup, and it can make your boots feel heavier as the day goes on. Also, walking in stores with asphalt buildup can be quite slippery.
”But treaded boots are so hard to clean!”. That’s why the Asphalt Pro has a flat sole, and it has never been easier to remove asphalt.
As mentioned earlier, a flat sole reduces the amount of build up significantly, and if there is any build up, you can spray it with PavePro or diesel, and it’ll scrape right off. No more hassle cleaning boots at the end of the shift.
The flat sole also leaves minimal imprints on hot asphalt, so you can walk on the finished product with no problem (if you’re not too heavy).

Point 4: Built for long, tiring days
The Asphalt Pro is built for the reality of paving: thousands of steps on hot mat. That’s why the design focuses on Quality Materials, and lightweight construction.
We’re pretty sure of this fact: there are no other asphalt paving specific boots that have a fully leather lining. The Asphalt Pro uses full-grain cow leather on the outside, and inside it has perforated cow leather. This gives the boot optimal moisture-absorption, breathability and comfort.
There are no fabrics, no synthetic materials on your feet when wearing the Asphalt Pro. And we are proud of this fact.
The Asphalt Pro is also pretty light. It uses real leather, lightweight Rubber-PUR sole and a PU foam body for construction, comfort and heat-resistance.
Also, the polyurethane foam mentioned earlier also acts as a shock-absorbing cushion. When operating around/on heavy machinery all day, all the vibrations can tire you out. The Asphalt Pro’s PU-layer helps absorb the vibrations a little.
Detailed look into the boot. Fully leather inside everywhere!
Point 5: Proven heritage, the original asphalt paving boot
Asphalt Pro is the result of decades of real-world paving experience. It’s made in Austria and built with high-quality materials for one job: helping asphalt crews perform on hot surfaces.
Unlike many “heat-resistant work boots” that were adapted for paving, Asphalt Pro is purpose-built for pavers and it has been trusted in Europe for over 25 years. That’s why Asphalt Pro keeps showing up when crews search for asphalt paving boots and boots for asphalt paving.
If you want a boot designed around asphalt, this is it.
